Tusk Pannier Racks for Olympus Bags on 2022 KLR 650

Bought these with the Olympus Bags- Very easy install on 2022 KLR 650. directions and video were great. What they do not tell you when you buy the Olympus Bags with the Tusk Pannier Racks is the racks come with a set of Hardware for the Aluminum Panniers. The Olympus Bags come with their own plates you attach. The directions do not mention this so you start wondering what all these parts are for. After reviewing videos I finally figured out you do not use them at all. You can order the Aluminum Panniers and they will work on the Tusk Racks- Quick release but they are extra when ordered with the TUSK Olympus Bags and Tusk Rack as a package.

The racks are easy to install and lined up perfectly on 2022 KLR 650. Sturdy and holds Olympus Bags perfectly. I actually and thinking I may but the MED aluminum Panniers since I have the hardware and can switch out depending on trips I want to take.

I wish there was a notice in directions- IF You buy the Olympus Bags with Racks you do not need this set of hardware - would have saved me an hour trying to figure out.

VERY WELL PACKAGED WHEN ARRIVED. LOOK GOOD AND HAVE NICE FINISH. I ONLY HAD QNE PROBLEM AND IT WAS THE MOUNTING TAB AT THE RIGHT PEG WAS AGAINST THE EXHAUST PIPE. I HAVE A LEX EXHAUST SO THAT MAY HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT. I ENDED UP PUTTING 2 FLAT WASHER BETWEEN THE BRACKET AND THE FRAME TO CORRECT. LOOK AND FEEL SOLID AND ROBUST LIKE THEY COULD TAKE A GOOD HIT WITH NO PROBLEM.

Nice quality rack with unique quick removal of bags

I've seen and used a few different brand racks. These fit precisely and are of very good quality. Finish was also very good. The quick release makes the racks very easy to remove bags and they also have a locking bolt inside as a theft deterrent but also as a anti-rattle and security feature for off-road use.

Tusk Pannier Racks for (1st Generation) 2007 KLR 650

The Tusk Pannier Racks are built well & are very sturdy. I have never had "after market" pannier racks before, always had pannier racks included with the previous machines I have owned. I can't compare them with other manufacturers but they were specifically made for my machine (1st Gen 2007 KLR 650). I am sure Tusk makes them for other machines but that's up to you to determine. The installation instructions were plain & simple & easy to follow. Just take your time. It took me about 2 hours to install them onto my KLR.

BEST PANNIER RACKS I'VE FOUND!

These things are rock solid, stout, well made, and installation was a breeze. I liked the fact that they came with their own set of beefy hardware. You can lean your bike up and use it like a ladder if need be.
