The Tech-Air® 5 Plasma features an ultra-lightweight and slim construction, weighing just 3.37 lbs (1530g)—more than 25% lighter than the Tech-Air® 5, making it the lightest system to date. Its minimal design ensures a discreet fit under a jacket, offering comfort and freedom of movement. The ultra-thin, mono-layer stretch mesh chassis reduces bulk and enhances breathability, contouring to the shape of the airbag. 

The Tech-Air® 5 Plasma is equipped with an integrated Nucleon Plasma back protector, a unique Alpinestars innovation. Plasma is an eco-friendly, sustainable, and lightweight material that effectively absorbs impact. Its advanced design ensures exceptional adaptability, breathability, and ventilation, providing optimal force dispersion, flexibility, and comfort. For passive protection, the back protector is CE Certified 1621-2 Level 1, offering full back coverage and enhanced safety.

Once the activation zip is fully zipped to the top, the system automatically powers on. A subtle haptic feedback vibration confirms that the system is active and ready to provide protection. This intuitive feature eliminates the need for manual switches, allowing riders to focus on their ride while the Tech-Air® 5 Plasma ensures they're always prepared for any emergency.

The system utilizes a new single canister design, offering a lighter weight, faster inflation time, and easier servicing. The quick-release cover is attached to the chassis with a Velcro hook-and-loop patch, making it simple to remove by just inserting a finger into the recess and lifting the cover. 

Featuring a new algorithm with three modes—Street, Off-Road, and Race—the Tech-Air® 5 Plasma offers tailored protection for different riding styles. The LED button allows quick system status checks with a confirming vibration.
