Nice comfortable boot, leather is soft and doesn't have a long break-in process. I wear size 10 shoe and bought a size 10 boot, and it fits great. Easy to latch and adjust buckles. they are so nice I don't want to get them dirty. but I will. I haven't worn them on a ride yet but giving them 5 stars as I have had many MX boots in the past and now on the ADV trail with these boots
At half the price of mid-to-higher end adv boots, these are great imho. Super comfy and spacious toe box (I have very fat feet).
I tried 4 different pairs of boots at all price points (including $500 and up) and various designs including very stiff/higher protection motocross boots. These do not have a 'hinge' designed in, however, the material is soft enough that flex is not a problem.
The boot bottom is iron hard (I believe steel reinforced) for safety, but the linear side of the boot is not as strong for safety of hard off-road accidents/bike falling on you. My plans are mostly road riding and light forest service trail riding - no serious dirt/trail riding with high complexity (otherwise would go with a super sturdy motocross boot). But I'm a newer/returning and older rider, and almost had an accident with a very stiff motocross boot with a hinge - whereas with these boots, I have confidence, can shift and break very easily, and very comfortable for off-bike getting to the coffee shop (that is a running joke about us older adv riders...). So the safety compromise actually would go to these boots, because I feel less at risk in regular riding for shifting/braking. Just a great boot imho at the price point, but you should be aware of the compromise in potential protection on sides of leg if serious accident. Haven't tested waterproof claims but really solidly constructed and imho great value at the price point.
Really comfortable right out of the box. I wore them on a little ride around town could shift really easy and use the brake on my KLX300 I did have to adjust the shifter a little but the bike has a really small shifter on it. I then next day took them out riding some trails with some buddies and right off one of them noticed how easy it was for me to walk around in them and I do have to say they are very easy to walk around in. Feet stayed dry but I was not in very much water or mud but the little I did find they stayed dry. when I had to pick the bike up in the mud boots had good traction and i was not sliding around trying to pick my bike up. A good boot choice for the adventure rider or weekend trail rider good protection for casual trail and adventure riding. Overall very good boot quality fells and looks great.
After about 500 miles so far I have been loving these. Seem to be breathable for being waterproof. Easy to walk in and ok support for an adventure boot
I was a little skeptical at buying these boots, as I had Alpinestars that were finally giving out, upon arrival I put these boots on and wore them all day, the fit is true to size, no hot spots or pinch points, next day went on a 12 hour adventure ride 80% dirt 20% black top. Great boot, water proof and very comfortable.
