The Tusk Aluminum Pannier Boxes are designed and manufactured to handle the most extreme adventure motorcycling. These panniers are loaded with features to offer an unbeatable value! These panniers are made from durable yet lightweight aluminum with a tough silver or black powder-coated finish. Not only do they look great, but they prevent the items you store from getting the black residue produced when rubbed against unfinished aluminum. Unique design that eliminates seams on the back two vertical edges (weak spots on other panniers), and all existing welded seams are reinforced with internal stitch welds. For security and convenience, the boxes come complete with 4 (2 on each box) matched locks and keys already assembled on the latches! A rubber gasket at the top of the box ensures the lid is tight and waterproof. Each lid comes complete with 4 bolt-on footman loops to secure additional items. Each Large box is 37 Liters and measures 15 ½" tall, 9 ¼" deep, and 18" wide. The Medium boxes are 27 Liters each and measure 14 ¼” tall, 7 ½” deep, and 16 ¼” wide. This is a complete kit with all the mounting hardware to outfit your bike for the next adventure.

Tusk panniers

Just finished installing the large set of panniers it went pretty smoothly and they truly are a great valve for the money, at least a third of other panniers. It just took a little adjustment to be able to lock them into place ( one washer behind mounting bracket) But here is some very good advise take all the mounting nuts for the entire assembly ( especially the acorn nuts ) and replace them with nylock nuts so they won't come loose. I've read were people have lost parts from the nuts coming loose. Other than that there great .Happy trails.

Excellent value for the price

I've had these for a year now and would purchase them again. While the finish is a bit crude, they have held up very well and still function perfectly even after a few lay downs. The only warning I would give is that they will grab your ankle on whichever boot you put down when stopping or cornering until you get used to them.

No complaints

I've had these panniers on the KLR for about 5000 miles or so and have no complaints. The installation was straight forward and the RM installation video was very helpful. I appreciate purchasing equipment that seems to be designed by folks who actually ride. I'll continue to do business with RM M/C.

Tusk panniers with racks

Haha, well, these are the most economical panniers with racks that I have found. They came with clear, concise directions. I have strapped backpacks, gas cans, chainsaw, bag of dead geese to them. They are versatile! The panniers are large. Thirty eight inches wide on the klr. I haven't tested but I think they would handle well in a layover. I am happy with my purchase.

Much more than I expected

Had originally planned to put one of the $1500.00 sets on but saw the bike build video and decided to try these. I was amazed at the price and really liked the roto pax mount included in the racks. I thought the panniers would look like old ammo cans but they looked great and the powder coat finish was well done, inside and out. Installed with very little drama and I was happy with the look. For an accessory that could become sacrificial armor I find these a great value. I could destroy these and replace the entire set for less than one of the bags from the expensive sets. I would not use these without the security knob installed. I spent a lot of money on the new 1190 Adventure R and I am happy with how these look on my bike.
