The Tusk EMEX T-45® is an intermediate/hard terrain tire designed to provide great traction for packed surface conditions and will transition well to a wide range of surfaces and terrains with its aggressively deep and wide center lugs. The strategically placed knob surface indentations and knob siping offer added bite for traction and consistency.

Reinforcing bridges connect each side knob to add strength at the base of the knob, reducing flexibility and offering control-flex characteristics for added tire performance and longevity. The open,self-cleaning tread pattern and large contact patch add excellent traction characteristics while giving the tire a consistent, reliable feel on intermediate/hard terrain.
  • Intermediate/Hard terrain tire.
  • Side knob surface indentation for added corner traction.
  • Reinforced side knobs for control-flex characteristics.
  • Large contact patch for maximum traction and stability.
  • Strategically placed knobs for a consistent, reliable feel.
  • Tube type tire.
  • For maximum off-road performance the Tusk EMEX T-45® is not DOT compliant.

Takes a beating and wants more.

Rear knobbies are holding up really well in Moab- No tearing after a good couple hundred miles of gnar so far. there are certainly stickier tires out there. But, this ones sidewall and knobs are stout enough it can handle more angle under load on slickrock than any other moto tire I've had. It likes going hard in the desert

Works good for the money. Generous sizing, if you are on the fence go smaller.

Generous sizing, installed okay, gripped well in the hard stuff and the intermediate. It worked well in the soft too but in braking in the soft it got a bit squirlly. I like the firm carcass for the hard pack and it handled well and gripped good but miss the recon style hybrid rear for the 1st gear rocky step up uphills. Give and take. Did about 80 miles of rocky trails in the Pacific Northwest and it worked well. Wore about average, similar to the IRC VE33 (regular not gummy) I normally use. In usually rip off the side knobs on soft to intermediate so I thought I would try this.

Withstood the SoCal desert beat down

I've tried a tons of different brands for desert riding and have been pretty loyal to the Maxxis Desert IT but since that tire is now $160+ (before tax), I just can't bring myself to fork out that cash.

Saw the reviews and price for this tire (110/100 18) and must say, pretty impressed. Threw everything but the kitchen sink at it this weekend out in the Southern California desert (wagon wheel/Spangler hills) going through rocky terrain, sand washes, hill climbs and about 15-20 miles on the highway. Very impressed with the hook up and traction of this tire. For the price and quick shipping, going to be buying another one for sure. The pictures are about 75 miles of riding and the amount of highway miles noted above.

Best bang for the buck.

Great tire, put about 120 miles on so far all desert riding. Grip was awesome and tread held up with the rock.
