Great product!!!! Easy to install. I recommend the use if a lift to install. Fitment is good. Great protection from rocks and logs.

I wanted to use the skid plate for a while before I wrote a review. I have used the Tusk Quiet Glide skid plate on my XP4 1000 for two full years now.

The skid plate works incredible. The only shortcoming it has is there is no protection for the rear swing arm brackets like on some other brands. These mounts are the lowest point on the underbody and the most prone to contact with the ground. When contact is made with rocks, sand, dirt, logs, dirt, etc. the Tusk skid plate is super quiet and the HDMW plastic glides right over the obstruction. It will actually let you power over some obstructions that otherwise would have stopped a machine without a full skid plate or with a factory pan. Our skid plate still looks pretty much brand new despite a lot of contact with Rocky Mountain boulders and Utah sand and rocks.

Installation is another story. I followed the instructions, working front to back. The first snag I ran into was the supplied aluminum clamps that are supposed to hold the second panel to the frame, below the driver and passenger seat footwells. These aluminum clamps do not fit the intended mounting spot. They are about 1" too short and the forward end is not cut at the correct angle to connect to the 45 degree leading edge of this panel. I ended up fabricating new brackets that can utilize the mounting holes and actually fit. Using brackets that fit, the installation was easy. The other change I made to the installation was that I left off the UMHW spacers that are used between the rear panel and the frame. The UHMW plastic is flexible and easily conforms to the contour of the frame. We go to great lengths to get and keep ground clearance so it doesn't make sense to reduce clearance with these spacers.

The Tusk Quiet Glide full skid plate is a very good addition to your side by side, just be ready to get creative when you install it.

Install was pretty easy, only slightly complicated by my already severely dented metal skids...
I recommend pressure washing all the dirt and rocks out from under your machine before starting the install, otherwise they will end up falling out during install and complicate things. On my rzr 900 trail they act like rock sliders too so saved me a few hundred $$ there.

Worked great in Moab! Slid over rocks and didn't break, cant ask for much more..

Great durability. I belly alot with my xp4 and never have a doubt in my mind about the underside of my rzr being protected. Installation was a bit rough by myself but with a second it would go great. fit right up and the add rocker are protection is awesome
