Got these installed on crf300l this weekend. Yes, they are taller and wider than stock, but fit with the mud flap removed just fine. Honestly believe this bike could fit a 140/80 just fine after seeing this tire on the bike. Install was very simple, used heavy duty tubes front and rear. Make sure if you're buying these to get a larger rear tube, the stock size won't even touch the inside of the tire when inflated. I purchased a 5.0-5.3"-18" tube, fit like a charm.
Ran em in for about an hour in a parking lot and really got them leaned over quite a bit for a brand new tire. Grip felt very smooth and predictable.
Got them out on the highway and they roll nice and smooth at 70 mph. Will definitely do a long term review video in the next month after I get 1-2000 miles on these.
In my opinion these are the perfect tires for a KLR 650. Although the Waypoint Adventure is a 70/30 dirt-oriented tire, my use is more like 60-70% on the road. However, I really want tires that give me confidence in the gravel and dirt with such a heavy bike. These tires inspire tons of confidence and tons of traction off-road, but still track well and feel stable on the highway and on twisty mountain roads. They're probably a little noisier on the road than my previous tires but it's hard to notice over all the other noise of riding a thumper on the highway. I haven't used them long enough to judge the longevity, but so far I'm impressed. I think my search for the perfect KLR tire is over.
Replaced a much more expensive set of 50/50 tires, which were borderline unsafe in anything but dry conditions, on my CRF300l Rally... theses are proper dual sport tires!! Perfect for the paces I put the bike through, which does include considerable pavement. VERY happy so far... excellent product!
2400 miles so far running the CDT route. Overall better traction than the 244's they replaced. Noise and vibration flogging highway parts not bad, these were balanced. I expect another 1k from them. Mounting not as hard as I expected. I would by again.
Just finished the COBDR. over 1100 miles including about 350 miles of pavement. Tires held up well. Quiet on the pavement and did pretty well offroad. Still look almost new. Price is great also.
