The Yamaha R1 exhaust system is crafted from high-quality Japanese Ti1 Titanium. It features a carbon fibre tip muffler and a removable silencer, reducing weight by over 50% to just 5kg from 11kg.

The complete system is significantly lighter than the original stainless steel exhaust. This weight reduction noticeably enhances handling acceleration and reduces stopping distances.

Appearance:

The surface finish is a natural brushed look, which, when heated, changes to all colors of the rainbow. Titanium has the added advantage over stainless steel in that it won't stain, corrode, or ever need polishing. Titanium has very high resistance to acids and salt, and it also dissipates heat twice as fast as steel.

We at Vandemon use a closely guarded welding process that welds both sides of each joint, resulting in ultrasonically perfect joints with a beautiful and consistently smooth surface.

Tuning:

This exhaust system is equipped with a removable silencer, which, when used, doesn't require remapping of your ECU, as any slight alterations to fueling, etc., will be managed by the OEM map; however, when the silencer is not used; tuning to suit is recommended by a competent technician.
