DECAT

  • Decat material: Stainless Steel
  • ZARD decat weight: 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs)
  • Weight saving: -1.7 kg (-3.7 lbs)

The Decatalyzer for the Triumph Scrambler 1200 is the ideal component to enhance your bike’s performance, providing more power and a more aggressive sound. Made by Officine Italiane Zard, this decatalyzer with a racing-style compensation system replaces the original catalytic converter to optimize exhaust gas flow and significantly reduce perceived heat, thus improving engine performance.

Handcrafted entirely in Italy, the decatalyzer is built with high-quality materials, such as AISI 304 stainless steel, ensuring strength and durability over time. It is compatible with Zard exhaust systems and designed for easy installation, with no need for additional modifications to the bike or ECU.

This product is designed to enhance power delivery, with a quicker engine response and optimized torque curve. Additionally, the decatalyzer contributes to a deeper and more aggressive sound, combined with a significant weight saving (-1.7 kg (-3.7 lbs) compared to the original), reducing the weight to just 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs).

The decatalyzer is designed for track use and is not road legal. Its installation is simple and quick, integrating perfectly with Zard exhaust systems, ensuring optimal performance without compromise. It is also ready to be mounted with the stock heat shields.

Unlocked the True Character of My Scrambler 1200

I installed the ZARD Decat on my 2019 Triumph Scrambler 1200, and the difference is incredible. The bike feels lighter, more responsive, and finally sounds the way a Scrambler should.

The weight savings compared to the stock catalytic converter are noticeable, and it really sharpens up the bike’s handling. Installation was straightforward—I paired it with my ZARD slip-on exhaust, and it fit perfectly without any ECU issues. No extra modifications were needed, which made the whole process stress-free.

Out on the road, throttle response is instant, and the torque delivery feels more alive across the rev range. The sound is deeper and throatier, giving the bike a more aggressive personality while still being comfortable on longer rides.

For anyone with a Scrambler 1200 from 2019–2020, this decat is a must-have upgrade. It completely transforms the ride without complications—just pure performance and character.

My Scrambler Finally Roars—Lean, Mean, and Track-Ready

I recently fitted the ZARD Decatalyzer to my 2020 Triumph Scrambler 1200, and honestly—it feels like a different bike. Right off the bat, the change in sound and behavior was unmistakable.

The unit, crafted from AISI 304 stainless steel, is lightweight—just 1.2 kg, saving about 1.7 kg over the stock catalytic converter—so the bike feels more agile from the first twist of the throttle
nstallation was a delightfully simple process: it snapped in smoothly, paired seamlessly with my ZARD exhaust, and didn’t demand any ECU modifications or extra tweaks
On the road—or let me say, on the track—the difference is dramatic. Throttle response is sharper, torque delivery more immediate, and the overall ride just feels more alive. Plus, that deep, aggressive rumble that now comes through is intoxicating, without being overbearing for longer rides
Bottom line: If you own a Scrambler 1200 (2019–2020) and want to drop weight, sharpen performance, and add a throatier growl to your ride, the ZARD Decat is a brilliant upgrade—no tech headaches required.

Game-Changer for Performance and Sound

I recently installed the ZARD Decat on my 2020 Triumph Scrambler 1200, and it’s made a massive difference in both performance and sound. Removing the catalytic converter really opens up the engine, and the bike feels much livelier — throttle response is quicker, and the power delivery is smoother throughout the rev range. It feels like the Scrambler is now breathing properly, and the overall ride is more responsive.

The sound is another major upgrade. The exhaust note is deeper and more pronounced, with a rich growl at low revs and a more aggressive tone as you open it up. It’s louder, but not obnoxiously so — it’s got that perfect balance of loud enough to be exciting, but still manageable on longer rides.

Installation was straightforward, and everything fit perfectly with no modifications required. I didn’t need to remap the ECU, and the bike is running as smoothly as before, just with more power and an improved sound.

If you own a Triumph Scrambler 1200 and want to unlock more power and a truly satisfying exhaust note, the ZARD Decat is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!
