I recently installed the ZARD Exhaust Full Kit on my 2024 Yamaha XSR 900 GP, and it has completely changed the character of my ride—in the best way possible.
Light as a Feather: Right off the bat, this kit sheds 2.5 kg (5.5 lb) off the bike, clocking in at a mere 4.8 kg (10.6 lb) compared to the stock system
This weight loss translates to noticeably sharper handling and easier maneuverability—sweeping corners feel more precise, and the bike feels more responsive overall.
Pop of Power: ZARD claims a power bump of +6 HP over the stock exhaust—and trust me, you can feel it. Acceleration is more immediate, and the extra urge on throttle twist injects genuine excitement into every outing.
Aggressive Rumble: The sound is deep, raspy, and unmistakably race-inspired—about 105 dB that makes your presence known without becoming overwhelming. It’s the kind of tone that makes a statement whether cruising or pushing pace.
Artisan Build Quality: This kit is entirely handcrafted in Italy, featuring decat headers made from AISI 304 stainless steel and a sleek black-finished silencer. The build quality exudes durability and craftsmanship—it feels like an engineered piece of art, not just machinery.
Tuned to Perfection: I paired the kit with the dedicated UpMap ECU, and wow—it sharpens throttle response and extinguishes any engine warning lights caused by removing the catalytic converter. he bike feels more livable and spirited as a result.
Final Thoughts: Yes, it's a premium upgrade, but every dollar is reflected in the ride—lighter weight, stronger performance, and that thrilling exhaust voice that brings the machine to life.
I recently installed the ZARD Exhaust Full Kit on my 2024 Yamaha XSR 900 GP—and wow, what a difference. From the moment I unpacked the sleek stainless steel system, it was clear: this wasn’t just another aftermarket add-on—it was pure craftsmanship.
Weight reduction is immediately noticeable: the kit depends only 4.8 kg (10.6 lb), dropping a hefty 2.5 kg (5.5 lb) compared to the stock setup. That translates into noticeably sharper cornering and a more agile feel overall.
Performance-wise, the gains aren’t just numbers—they’re thrilling. The kit delivers a solid +6 HP boost over stock. The result? A crisp throttle response and a more instantaneous delivery of acceleration that makes every twist of the throttle feel exhilarating.
Speaking of feel: the sound is intoxicating. Deep, aggressive, unmistakably racing—around 105 dB, it commands attention and captures the machine’s sportier spirit
Installation was pretty straightforward, and the quality is outstanding. Handmade in Italy using AISI 304 stainless steel, with TIG‑ and MIG/MAG-welded construction and a durable black Cerakote® finish, the kit feels both resilient and refined
I also opted for the UpMap ECU tune—a worthwhile extra that optimizes performance, refines throttle feel, and silences any engine warnings triggered by the removal of the catalytic converter
Certainly, this kit is a premium investment (around €1,385 MSRP). but the payoff is incredible: lighter weight, sharper responsiveness, and a spine-tingling racing soundtrack wrapped in artisan build quality.
I recently installed the ZARD Exhaust Full Kit on my 2024 Yamaha XSR 900 GP, and I’m absolutely blown away. From the moment I received the handmade stainless steel headers and sleek black-finished silencer, I could tell this wasn’t just another aftermarket part—it felt like a work of art.
Swapping out the stock setup for this beauty shaved off a substantial 2.5 kg, dropping the weight to just 4.8 kg (10.6 lb). hat weight loss alone transforms the bike—cornering feels sharper, the bike responds quicker, and the power delivery feels more engaging.
And speaking of power: the added 6 HP over stock is unmistakable. Throttle response is crisp, acceleration is snappy, and the overall riding experience feels more alive. ZARD also offers an optional UpMap ECU tune that maximizes performance and even silences error codes related to the removed catalytic converter—clearly designed for riders who push their machines to the max
Now, the sound—oh, the sound. Deep, throaty, raw. Definitely has that race-bred character that reads 105 dB on a meter—just the kind of aggressive growl that turns heads whether you're idling at a light or hammering the throttle
Installation was straightforward, and the build quality speaks volumes—handcrafted in Italy using AISI 304 stainless steel, with TIG/MIG welds and a ceramic black finish built to withstand temperatures over 1000 °C. It's not just functional—it’s beautifully engineered.
Yes, it’s a premium upgrade (priced around €1,385 on Officine Italiane Zard). but for what you're getting—a massive drop in weight, a solid bump in performance, and that unmistakable race tone—it’s totally worth it.
