A Sound Upgrade That Stands Out

I just fitted the ZARD 4.33‑inch slash‑cut slip‑ons to my 2014 Road Glide Special—and wow, what a transformation. As soon as I hit the starter, the exhaust note came alive with a richer, deeper tone that demands attention but never feels overbearing.

What really stands out is the engineering—these slip‑ons shed about 0.3 kg compared to the OEM setup, clocking in at 7.7 kg total. With the racing version, you also get a claimed power boost of +2.2 hp. The result? Snappier throttle response and noticeably sharper mid‑range punch.
I love how they balance form and function. The craftsmanship is unmistakably high-end—stylish without being flashy, tough yet elegant. Plus, the installation is hassle-free: slide them on, tighten the bolts, and you’re ready to ride—no tuning or ECU work required.

If there’s one caveat, it's that the sound might be a bit too bold for long, low-cruise rides—an optional quieter insert could be a nice add-on. But if you’re looking to elevate your touring experience with improved acoustics, performance, and weight savings, the ZARD slip-ons deliver.

Bottom line: For anyone wanting to add Italian flair, a commanding exhaust growl, and a bit of extra power to their Road Glide Special, these are an upgrade well worth the investment.

The Perfect Sound Upgrade for My Road Glide Special

Just installed the ZARD 4.33‑inch slash‑cut slip‑ons on my 2012 Road Glide Special, and the transformation is absolutely thrilling. From idle to cruise, the bike’s voice has become rich, bold, and unmistakably commanding—without ever feeling overwhelming.

These slip‑ons are beautifully crafted in Italy, showcasing fine welds and sleek finishing. They’re significantly lighter—dropping about 0.3 kg compared to stock—and deliver a noticeable performance boost. With a claimed increase of +2.2 hp, throttle response is sharper and acceleration feels more alive, especially in the mid-range
Fitting them couldn't be easier—all bolt-on, no ECU flash required. Less than an hour from unboxing to back on the road—pure plug-and-play appeal. And yes, the satisfaction of opening up your ride with a simple upgrade never gets old.

If I had one minor wish, it would be for an optional insert to dial down the bark for longer rides. But honestly? For aesthetics, tone, and performance combined, this upgrade is a storytelling victory.

Final verdict: The ZARD 4.33" slash-cut slip-ons bring striking Italian craftsmanship, improved weight and horsepower, and a deep, enjoyable sound. It’s a top-tier upgrade for any Road Glide Special rider seeking flair and function in one neat package.

Italian Craftsmanship & Touring Power Combined—A Game-Changer for My Road Glide Special

I recently upgraded my 2011 Harley‑Davidson Road Glide Special with the ZARD 4.33‑inch slash‑cut slip‑ons, and the result is flat‑out stunning. As soon as I fired up the bike, the exhaust let out a deep, engaging growl—bold, refined, and unmistakably commanding.

These are seriously premium upgrades. Hand-made in Italy from AISI 304 stainless steel, they sport either a polished or matte black Cerakote® finish, along with billet aluminum end caps and a clean ZARD logo that catches sunlight just right. It’s Italian flair meeting Harley‑touring attitude—and the craftsmanship truly stands out.
On the road, the difference is undeniable. I opted for the racing version, which shaves off about 0.3 kg compared to stock and delivers an advertised boost of +2.2 hp. The result? Sharper throttle response, livelier mid-range performance, and a weight that feels noticeably leaner.
Installation was refreshingly simple—bolt-on slip-ons that fit perfectly, no ECU mapping required, and I was back on the move in under an hour.
If there’s one tweak I’d love, it’s an optional insert to dial down the volume on longer rides. Still, the combination of sleek style, robust tone, and performance gain is a rare win in the touring world.

Bottom line: The ZARD 4.33" slash-cut slip-ons bring together craftsmanship, sound, and performance in a way that feels custom-made for the Road Glide Special. If you ride a touring bike and want a bold but polished upgrade, these are absolutely worth it.
