Upgrading my 2020 Harley-Davidson Road King Special with the ZARD Full Kit 2:1 Exhaust has been one of the best tweaks I've ever made—it’s more than just an upgrade; it’s a full transformation.
Right from unboxing, the build quality grabbed my attention. The system is crafted from AISI 304 stainless steel, with a sleek anodized aluminum end cap that looks both elegant and purposeful. I chose the racing version, and man, did it deliver—I trimmed almost 9.5 kg off the bike, which you feel the instant you twist the throttle
Installation was refreshingly straightforward. With the bolt-on design and clear instructions, I had it fitted in under an hour—no swear words or additional trips to the garage necessary!
But the real magic happened once I fired it up. The exhaust delivers a rich, deep growl that’s assertive without being obnoxious—a distinct Harley rumble with a refined edge. It turns heads but doesn’t rain on your music or conversation
Performance feels tighter and more alive, especially off the line and mid-range. The racing kit is said to deliver around +4 hp, which matches the livelier throttle and smoother pull I’ve actually been feeling on the road
On those longer rides, I also noticed this system manages heat a lot better. My leg doesn’t bake against hot exhaust pipes anymore—a small comfort that makes summer cruising way more enjoyable.
In short? The ZARD Full Kit 2:1 for the Road King Special isn’t just about looks—it’s a well-engineered enhancement that elevates sound, performance, responsiveness, and comfort all at once. If you want an upgrade that actually improves your ride, this is the one to get.
I recently installed the ZARD Full Kit 2:1 Exhaust on my 2019 Harley-Davidson Road King Special, and honestly, it reignited my love for riding.
From the moment I unpacked it, the craftsmanship caught my attention. The kit is crafted from AISI 304 stainless steel and features a sleek anodized aluminum end cap. Opting for the racing version, I was thrilled to find it trimmed nearly 9.5 kg off the bike’s weight—a change you feel immediately in how sprightly the ride now feels
Installation was a breeze—clear instructions, bolt-on fitment, and about an hour later, I was ready to fire it up.
Once I did, that deep, throaty rumble rang out with authority—distinctly Harley, but refined, not overbearing. It’s the kind of sound that commands attention without needing an amp
Performance-wise, the difference is real. The engine feels more responsive, especially in the lower RPMs, with noticeably smoother throttle transitions. It’s not just hype—this system delivers about +4 hp (for the racing version) and shed almost 9.5 kg, so the performance boost is tangible
On longer rides, I also noticed less heat blasting onto my leg—making summer cruising more comfortable than ever.
In short, the ZARD Full Kit 2:1 is more than just a flashy upgrade—it transforms handling, sound, performance, and even comfort. If you're looking to elevate your Road King’s presence on the road, this delivers across the board.
I recently swapped out my stock exhaust on my 2022 Harley-Davidson Road King Special for the ZARD Full Kit 2:1 Exhaust, and I'm absolutely blown away.
From the moment I unboxed it, the craftsmanship stood out. The stainless steel feels top-notch, and the anodized aluminum end cap (I opted for the sleek matte black finish) gives it a subtle but aggressive modern edge. Plus, it's noticeably lighter—I checked the spec sheet and the racing version is about 9.5 kg lighter than stock, which already gives the ride a more eager feel
Installation was pleasantly straightforward—about an hour with clear instructions, and the fit was spot-on. No fumbling or adjustments needed.
Once fired up, the sound is the best part: an unmistakable deep rumble that demands attention but thankfully doesn’t drown out conversation. It’s rich, authoritative, and distinctly Harley without crossing into obnoxious territory.
Performance-wise, the improvement is tangible. The bike feels more responsive, especially in the lower rpm range. That 2:1 design really helps the engine breathe better—I've noticed smoother throttle response and even a subtle bump in torque and horsepower. Specs suggest up to +4 hp for the racing version, or +2.1 hp if you go homologated
Another perk: ride comfort. My right leg doesn’t feel nearly as much exhaust heat as before—long rides have gotten a lot more pleasant.
In short, the ZARD Full Kit 2:1 isn’t just an aesthetic upgrade—it’s a complete transformation. Lighter, louder (in all the right ways), more spirited, and more comfortable. If you want an exhaust system upgrade that genuinely enhances every aspect of your Road King Special, this one’s a no-brainer.
I put the ZARD Full Kit 2:1 Exhaust on my 2020 Harley Davidson Road King Special, and I can honestly say it transformed the bike. The quality is the first thing you notice — the welds, the finish, and the overall construction are all top-notch. It feels like a premium product the moment you take it out of the box.
Once installed, the sound blew me away. It has that deep Harley rumble I was looking for, but it’s tuned so well that it doesn’t drone on long rides. When you twist the throttle, the growl is powerful and crisp, and it really makes the bike come alive.
Performance-wise, the difference is clear. The throttle response is quicker, and the mid-range power feels much stronger. I noticed smoother acceleration, especially on highway pulls. It makes the Road King Special even more enjoyable to ride, whether I’m cruising locally or heading out on longer trips.
If you want an exhaust that delivers on sound, performance, and style, this ZARD kit is absolutely worth it.
I recently upgraded my 2019 Harley Davidson Road King Special with the ZARD Full Kit 2:1 Exhaust, and it’s been a game-changer. The installation was straightforward, and everything lined up perfectly with no extra adjustments needed. Right away, I could tell this was a high-quality system built to last.
The sound is phenomenal — deep and throaty at idle, with a rich roar when accelerating. It’s aggressive enough to stand out but never crosses into being too loud or tiring on longer rides. Friends I ride with have all commented on how great it sounds.
Performance improvements were just as impressive. The throttle response is sharper, and the bike feels quicker and smoother through the gears. Highway cruising is effortless now, and it has that extra punch for overtaking when needed.
Visually, the sleek design of the ZARD exhaust adds a custom touch that makes the Road King Special look even more commanding. Overall, this upgrade exceeded my expectations in every way.
