When I added the ZARD Slip-Ons to my 2016 Moto Guzzi California, the difference was nothing short of exhilarating. Right from opening the box, you sense the level of detail—these silencers are forged from AISI 304 stainless steel with impeccable welds, and the finish (I chose the sleek black ceramic coating) feels both refined and rugged, just like the bike itself
Installing them was refreshingly simple—pure plug-and-play, no mods, no ECU tweaking required Once fired up, the idle barked out a deep, velvety rumble that felt more soulful than stock. Twist the throttle, and it morphs into a commanding growl that’s bold without going overboard—truly the soundtrack of a refined Italian beast Performance-wise, the upgrade is tangible. Torque feels stronger across the rev range, throttle response is crisp, and there's a marked smoothness and responsiveness I didn’t expect. The homologated Euro 3 version boosted horsepower notably—around +4.3 HP according to specs It’s not just about power—it's about emotional connection every time you twist the wrist.
As for weight, the bike feels a bit livelier—those handcrafted silencers are lighter than the OEM pipes, and the reduced heft makes both city weaving and highway striding feel more precise In summary, the ZARD Slip-Ons elevate both form and function. They infuse my ride with authentic Italian flair—better audial character, clearer performance, and undeniable visual polish. If you ride a Moto Guzzi California (not the Audace model), and you want an upgrade that respects elegance while inviting exhilaration—these are your pipes.
I recently fitted the ZARD Slip-Ons on my 2015 Moto Guzzi California (Euro 3 model), and I’m thoroughly impressed. From the moment they arrived—packaged with care from Italy—you can sense the craftsmanship in the weight and finish of the AISI 304 stainless steel silencers. The sleek polished version I chose highlights the classic lines of the bike, while the black ceramic alternative looks stealthy and refined. These are obviously made with pride and precision—hand-welded and road-tested for quality and performance
Installation was a downright pleasure: true plug-and-play with zero modifications required. I had the system swapped in less than an hour, great fitment and no hassles
Once fired up, the difference was startling. At idle, the California’s engine now purrs with a deep, velvety growl that honors its Italian heritage. Rolling on the throttle brings an engaging, forward-leaning bark that’s noticeably more alive than stock—thoroughly commanding without being obnoxious
Riding dynamics also improved. The homologated version promises a measurable +4.3 HP gain, and that translates into sharper mid-range torque, livelier throttle response, and smoother acceleration across the RPM band—especially fun when overtaking or cruising uphill
And yes—these units are lighter than stock, giving the bike a subtly more agile feel
In essence, the ZARD Slip-Ons elevate the character of the California without compromising refinement. They bring out the bike's soul—giving every ride richer sound, sharper pace, and unmistakable style. If you ride a Euro 3 Moto Guzzi California (2014–2019) and aren’t on the Audace model, these will transform your experience.
A heartfelt bravo to ZARD—for keeping Italian craftsmanship alive with performance that speaks.
I recently upgraded my 2016 Moto Guzzi California (Euro 3) with the ZARD Slip-Ons, and wow—this upgrade truly exceeded expectations. Right out of the box, the stainless steel craftsmanship—the AISI 304 construction—stood out with flawless welds and a finish that could double as a mirror or, if you choose black ceramic, a sleek, understated statement piece
Installation was delightfully hassle-free—totally plug-and-play with zero modifications required, which meant back on the road in under an hour Once running, the sound is a revelation: at idle the bike emits a deep, resonant growl that reflects the California’s character, and the throttle response evokes a sharp, full-bodied soundtrack—louder and more commanding than stock, yet still refined
Performance improvements were tangible: the exhaust whispers hints of a typical 4.3 HP gain in the homologated version, and the motor feels more alive—tighter torque, smoother pickup, and a livelier mid-range that turns overtakes into effortless moves There’s also a pleasing weight reduction that contributes to a more agile, balanced ride.
What I love most is how the ZARD Slip-Ons complement the California’s soul—they’re not just an accessory; they genuinely elevate the riding experience. Whether cruising urban streets or hitting open curves, the bike feels more alive, more Italian, more mine.
If you're riding a Moto Guzzi California (2014–2019, Euro 3, not Audace) and want an exhaust that blends artisanal Italian elegance with true performance, the ZARD Slip-Ons deliver beautifully.
I recently had the pleasure of fitting the ZARD Slip-Ons to my 2018 Moto Guzzi California (Euro 3 model), and I must say—it’s nothing short of transformative. The craftsmanship is immediately evident: the dual silencers are fashioned from AISI 304 stainless steel and come in a choice of polished or black ceramic finishes, both exuding Italian flair and quality
The installation process was refreshingly plug-and-play—no modifications, no fuss. They bolted on cleanly, and in under an hour, I was ready to go Once fired up, the exhaust emits a rich, full-bodied rumble at idle—deep and commanding without being oppressive to the ears. Roll on the throttle, and the bike responds with a crisp, alive growl that makes every ride feel cinematic
Performance improvements are noticeable. The engine feels more responsive across the rev range—throttle response has sharpened, and acceleration is noticeably smoother. The homologated version touts a gain of around +4.3 HP, and it genuinely feels like it; there’s more torque, especially in mid-range, making overtakes on the highway effortless
Beyond the performance gains, the subtle weight reduction compared to the stock exhaust enhances handling and contributes to a more agile feel Whether cruising through winding back roads or streaming down the freeway, the ZARD unit consistently delivers a balanced blend of sound, style, and substance.
If you're riding a Moto Guzzi California (2014–2019, Euro 3—not Audace), and want an exhaust that elevates both aesthetics and performance with true Italian craftsmanship, the ZARD Slip-Ons are a refined and worthy upgrade.
I recently installed the ZARD Slip-Ons on my 2017 Moto Guzzi California, and the transformation has been phenomenal. The fitment was perfect right out of the box, and the quality is immediately apparent. The exhaust has a sleek, high-quality finish that adds a touch of refinement to the already impressive look of the California.
The sound is where this exhaust truly stands out. At idle, it has a deep, throaty rumble that perfectly matches the character of the California. When you twist the throttle, the bike comes to life with a powerful, crisp growl that makes the ride much more exciting. It’s definitely louder than stock, but the tone is smooth and refined — it commands attention without being overwhelming.
Performance-wise, I noticed a real improvement. The throttle response is sharper, and the bike feels more responsive and smoother across the rev range. It seems like the engine is breathing better, which has translated into a more fluid ride, whether I’m cruising down the highway or navigating through city traffic.
Installation was straightforward and took less than an hour. No need to remap the ECU, and everything fit perfectly with no issues.
If you're looking to upgrade your Moto Guzzi California with an exhaust that improves both sound and performance, the ZARD Slip-Ons are an excellent choice. They enhance the riding experience in every way — highly recommended!
