As someone who rides my 2005 Triumph Scrambler 900 nearly every day—from winding mountain roads to city streets—the switch to the ZARD ‘Special’ High Mount Full Kit for the carburetor version (2001–2007) has been nothing short of transformative. The stainless-steel construction gives the bike a striking presence, and at just 3.9 kg, the full kit is noticeably lighter than the stock exhaust, which I believe originally weighed around 11.6 kg
The installation was smoother than expected—the fitment was accurate, and each component clicked into place like it was crafted for this exact frame. What truly blew me away was the sound profile: deep, muscular, and vintage without feeling overbearing. It reminds me of classic scrambler bikes yet still feels refined for everyday weekday commutes.

Handling improved immediately—not just from shedding weight, but the bike feels more balanced in the turns. Acceleration off the corners is sharper, and combined with a quick session dialing in my jetting, the throttle response has become crisp and addictive.

Visually, those high-mounted pipes give the bike a rugged, off-road-ready stance—I’ve never had more compliments rolling through town. And despite the pronounced growl, it’s still tame enough to keep the neighbors (and police) happy.

Overall, the ZARD ‘Special’ kit is more than just an aesthetic upgrade—it’s an all-around performance enhancement that brings out the character of the carbureted twin. For any Scrambler 900 owner looking to elevate both form and function, this is one mod you won’t regret.

Heritage Looks, Modern Soul

As soon as I swapped in the ZARD “Special” High‑Mount Full Kit on my 2003 Triumph Scrambler 900 (carbureted), it was clear this mod wasn’t just cosmetic—it was transformational. This kit, completely handmade in Italy, features AISI 304 stainless steel for the header and silencer, with both sleeve and end cap matching in stainless—available in satin, Cerakote® black, or with a black heat shield.
Design & Build Quality

The craftsmanship is exquisite. Every weld looks precise, and the materials feel premium—like real mechanical artistry, not just aftermarket accessories.

Weight & Balance

The stock system felt heavy and unrefined in tight turns. The ZARD kit is impressively light: around 4.9 kg (10.8 lbs) for the racing version, slashing nearly 6.7 kg (14.8 lbs) off the original.
That weight drop is instantly noticeable: the bike handles with newfound agility, especially on uneven rural roads and twisty trails.

Sound & Character

Now, that deep, throaty rumble—exactly what a carb-fed twin should sound like. Bold, rich, and unmistakably raw without being overbearing. It gives my Scrambler a voice that commands attention yet keeps the timeless aura intact.

Performance Gains

Once I rejetted the carbs as suggested, throttle response sharpened, and mid‑range torque filled out beautifully. Overtaking felt smoother, throttle inputs felt more immediate—and the bike feels genuinely livelier.
Fit & Finish

Installation took a bit of patience but nothing outrageous. All mounting points lined up, and the included instructions were clear enough for any DIY-inclined enthusiast. Once installed, the exhaust looked like it was always meant to be there—complementing the Scrambler’s classic stance.

Vintage Vibe, Modern Thrills

As someone who rides both for nostalgia and performance, I decided to upgrade my 2005 Triumph Scrambler 900 (carbureted) with the ZARD "Special" Full Kit in the high-mounted configuration. After dozens of rides, here’s my verdict:

Right from unboxing, the craftsmanship was immediately evident—hand-applied TIG‑MIG welds, premium AISI‑304 stainless steel, and options for satin or Cerakote® black finishes that fit the bike’s rugged charm perfectly.
Weighing in at just 3.9 kg, this kit slashes nearly 7.7 kg off the stock system. The difference is alive in every corner—better agility, sharper control, and noticeably lighter handling.
The sound is exactly what you'd want: a deep, soulful rumble that complements the Scrambler’s heritage without crossing into obnoxious territory. It’s assertive in tone yet not overly loud, giving that classic air-cooled twin character that makes you smile ride after ride.

Performance-wise, the bike responds more eagerly through mid-range revs, especially after tuning the carburetors. Overtakes are smoother, and the throttle response feels direct and confident—like the bike finally found its true voice.

Installation required a bit of patience but guided instructions made it smooth. Fitment was precise; everything aligned as expected—no need for improvisation or modifications.

In short, the ZARD "Special" high-mount full kit transforms the Scrambler into something both timeless and track-savvy. It's a rare blend of aesthetic refinement and mechanical boost. For owners of the 2001–2007 carbureted Scrambler who crave personality in both look and ride, this kit is genuinely a game-changer.

I recently installed the ZARD "Special" High Full Kit Carburetor Exhaust on my 2004 Triumph Scrambler 900, and it’s safe to say this is the best mod I’ve done to the bike—hands down.

The high-mounted design looks phenomenal. It captures that rugged, vintage off-road vibe perfectly while adding a custom, performance-focused edge. The craftsmanship is outstanding—clean welds, high-grade materials, and a fit that’s spot-on for the Scrambler frame.

What truly sets this exhaust apart is the sound. It has a deep, throaty rumble that gives the carbureted twin a raw, unmistakable presence. It’s bold without being obnoxious—just pure, old-school character. Every ride feels more alive.

Performance also saw a real improvement. With a proper carb rejet, the bike pulls harder through the midrange and feels quicker to respond on throttle. The weight savings were noticeable right away, especially when riding on gravel or uneven roads.

Installation took a bit of patience, but everything fit as expected and the instructions were clear enough for any experienced DIYer. Once on, it felt like the bike had finally found its true voice.

If you're running a 2001–2007 Scrambler and want to bring out its full potential—both visually and mechanically—the ZARD "Special" kit is worth every penny. It turns a classic into a true performer.
